I like the image because it seems to be a reflection as if the journal was looking at that person when they are using the journal. I think it really gives the viewer a sense of emotion when viewing this piece. I feel like it is missing something, I am not really sure what you could add. I would just play around some more with the positioning or I would try to add a few more objects. Overall I like what you have so far.
